Peter Pan kicks off a new season of Oklahoma City Ballet

Finding Neverland has never been easier. Normally, you would simply learn to fly and then follow the second star to the right, straight on ’til morning. From October 18-20 though, all anyone will have to do is find their way to the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall.

The Oklahoma City Ballet will be kicking off their fifty-third season by presenting Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan. There will be four performances, one of which will be a sensory friendly version supported by AutismOklahoma. Accompanying the performances will be live music from the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

The dancers will bring to life the classic characters from J.M. Barrie’s famous novel. As Peter, Tinker Bell, Wendy, her brothers, and the Lost Boys set out on the adventure of a lifetime, Captain Hook, Smee, and all of the pirates will be there every step, jump, and pirouette of the way.

Peter Pan is a two-act ballet show, which follows the novel closely. The Oklahoma City Ballet’s production will have the dancers flying across the stage with choreographic help from Las Vegas-based Flying by Foy.

With tickets already on sale, guests will want to be sure to purchase theirs as soon as possible. Tickets and more information about the performances can be found online at www.okcballet.org/performance/peter-pan/.
