Ink Masters
Beauty isn’t just skin deep, but these artists prove that the human body can provide a canvas for some beautiful expression. During the exhibit A Body of Work: More Than Skin Deep, the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid will showcase painting, drawing, beadwork, and of course tattoos from talented Enid and Woodward creators.
Through June 15. Admission, $7.

Shakespeare at Superspeed
If you’ve always wanted to read the Bard’s works but never found the time—he wrote thirty-eight of them after all—Oklahoma Shakespeare Presents: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) should be just the ticket. This fast-paced performance was a hit for nine years on the West End, and now audiences at the Paseo Indoor Theater in Oklahoma City can enjoy this comedic, historic, tragic, and wickedly irreverent romp for themselves.
Through April 27. Tickets, $45-$55.

Pioneer to My Heart
Okemah’s history dates back before the state itself—to when Kickapoo Chief Okemah built his home on the townsite in 1902. More than twelve decades later, the home of Woody Guthrie continues to thrive, and the Okemah Pioneer Day Celebration is proof. During this town-wide birthday bash, there will be a carnival, pet stroll, plant sale, parade, rooster crow contest, treasure hunts, antique car cruise, and so much more.
April 23-26. Admission, free.

Mother Lovers
What better way to honor Mother Earth than by helping keep some of her most beautiful features pristine? To celebrate Earth Day, all Oklahoma state parks will be waiving parking fees, and four of them will have the opportunity to pay it forward with eco-friendly activities. Afterward, guests will be able to bask in the majesty of Foss, Lake Texoma, Lake Wister, and Osage Hills state parks knowing they made a difference.
April 26. Admission, free.

Castle Mania
Most of us could use a healthy dose of fantasy right about now, and the city of Shawnee is happy to oblige. During the Secret Garden Medieval & Fantasy Faire, held at Shawnee Mall, there will be more art, live music, carnival games, delicious food, and acrobatic astonishments than you can shake ye olde stick at.
April 26-27. Admission, free.
