Each week, Oklahoma Today staffers comb through their calendars to find a handful of great events happening across the state. Get out! See Oklahoma! And be sure to let us know what you find, either here or on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @oklahomatoday.
All That Jazz
Tuesdays can be rather mundane. Even Garfield didn't complain about them. But if you're short on lasagna and kittens to mail to Abu Dhabi, you can spice up this week's Tuesday with some jazz renditions by Mark Jenkins and Friends, who are performing a tribute for Ellis Marsalis at the Armstrong Stadium in Edmond. Relax and watch the pros do their thing on stage, or attend virtually if you would rather watch from home. February 2. Tickets, $15-55. (405) 285-1010 or armstrongauditorium.org

Walk It Off
At the end of a hard week, there's nothing like relaxing with some fine art—the kind you might find in Oklahoma City's Paseo Arts District during the First Friday Gallery Walk. With more than eighty artists and twenty-five businesses contributing, your eyes can get their fill of gorgeous, thought-provoking imagery. Paseo’s quirky environment and fabulous restaurants will leave you infatuated with the area and, since this is a monthly event, you will get the chance to do it all over again come March. If you have a soft spot for local art, then this is an event you should mark down. February 5. Admission, Free. (405) 525-2688 or thepaseo.org
Shop Til You Drop
Make plans to visit the 2 Friends & Junk Craft Show in Tulsa to see an array of antiques, artifacts, and furniture. Those looking to decorate their homes with vintage and unique items will find plenty to work with. Whether you go to "just look" or with intent to spend your last dime, it's awfully hard to leave without finding some must-have item. February 5-6. Tickets, $8. (620) 515-5201 or exposquare.com
Enjoy some horsing around at the Prairie Classic Quarter Horse Show in Oklahoma City.
Cowboy Club
The Prairie Classic Quarter Horse Show is for anyone who is a cowboy at heart. Tap into your inner Wyatt Earp as you watch horses perform in several activities and competitions including riding, reining, and more. Whether you’re an equestrian nut or just admire the will to win, the Oklahoma State Fair Park is the place you need to be this week. February 3-7. Tickets, $8. (515) 868-1075 or kqha.com

Give a Man a Trout...
The annual Watonga Trout Derby returns this week. There is no age limit and each trout caught will bring about rewards. There is a senior and junior division which will separate those 17-years and younger from the adults. The event gathers large crowds of fishermen each year, each looking for glory—or another fishing story to tell for the hundredth time. Make sure to register if you want three days of a classic American pastime. February 5-7. Registration, $10-20. (580) 623-5452 or TravelOK.com
