Go Fast
Whether you're getting your car ready for race season or you just like seeing vehicles go really, really fast, Atoka Motorsports Park is the place to be during Test & Tune. Head to the home of Oklahoma's state dinosaur Acrocanthosaurus atokensis for a mélange of muscle cars, a drove of drag racers, and a flotilla of funny cars putting pedal to metal to prepare for the races to come. February 25. Admission, free. Participants, $20. atokasanddrags.com
Followed by Weight Loss Wednesday
Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras go hand-in-hand like Batman and Bruce Wayne. Because, you know, the literal translation of Mardi Gras is Fat Tuesday. Astute calendar users will no doubt find that February 25 is a Saturday, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good time at the Tulsa Mardi Gras Masquerade at Tulsa VFW Post 577. The beads will be flying and the food will be mostly Cajun as partygoers enjoy tasty Mardi Gras-themed cocktails, dancing, music, and a big bunch of people ready to let the good times roll. February 25. Tickets, $20-$50. mardigrastulsa.com

Fish for Adults
There is no doubt that kids love an aquarium, but kids love lots of things. Let them go do something else and let the adults enjoy watching undersea creatures do undersea things during Splash! at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. Sip craft beers by the carp. Toss back a few hors d'oeuvres in view of horseshoe crabs. There's even a mechanical bull . . . shark, as well as games, a silent auction, and more. February 25. Tickets, $75-$200. okaquarium.org
Chakra Tail Feather
We've got spirit, yes, we do. And if you've got spirit, how about you head to Broken Arrow's Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center for the Tulsa Spirit Fair. It's two days of alternative spirituality, like energy vibrations, spirit symbolism, psychic readings, tarot cards, and more. Attend workshops and lectures, learn about new ideas and techniques to find your spiritual truth, and just enjoy the vibe. February 25 & 26. Admission, $7-$8 daily. spiritfair.com

Magical Myth-tery Tour
Outside of seasonal employment at Renaissance fairs and, for those lucky few, a steady gig at Medieval Times, the chances to be a knight are few and far between. And those who want to fight mighty monsters are even more out of luck. But when Dragons and Mythical Beasts comes to the Thelma Gaylord Performing Arts Theatre in Oklahoma City's Civic Center Music Hall, audiences will get to see giant puppet dragons, unicorns, trolls, and more fairytale fantasy creatures come to life before their eyes. There's also a fairy marionette, which begs the question: why not call it a fairionette? Portmanteaus are here for a reason. February 26. Tickets, $38.50-$90.50. okcciviccenter.com
