Curiosities in Hominy
This one’s a bit quirky, but stick with us. In Oklahoma, we love the rare, vintage, and delightfully odd, and the Antique Doll Exhibit in Hominy this February is no exception. If you’ve ever been mesmerized (or mildly creeped out) by grandma’s “look but don’t touch” doll collection, this is for you. Hosted in the Fred and Addie Drummond Home, a gorgeous Victorian mansion, the exhibit features limited-edition German-made dolls over a century old, from the days of porcelain and leather. It’s a history lesson, a collector’s dream . . . and maybe a little haunted, so, you know, avoid eye contact.
February 1-28. Tickets, $4-$7

Giddy Up!
This ain’t your first rodeo—or maybe it is! Either way, you’re invited to join the fun. February is Black History Month, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with the Oklahoma Invitational Black Rodeo in Tulsa. Get ready for steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, and mutton bustin’ as competitors rope, ride, and wrestle for cash prizes. These athletes aren’t just pros—they’re history-makers, carrying on the legacy of black cowboys who helped shape the American West. It’s a family-friendly celebration of culture, community, and sportsmanship, where, for once, horsing around is actually encouraged!

Bedre’s Best
Step into a real-life Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory right here in Oklahoma! Chocolate Decadence brings unique chocolate creations to life with delicious treats, savory bites from local spots like Paseo Grill and Hideaway Pizza, luxury auction items, and live music—all to celebrate Bedré Fine Chocolates' twenty-fifth anniversary and support the Automobile Alley Association. It’s all happening at Leadership Square in Downtown OKC. Don your best cocktail attire (and maybe even don a cocktail or two) at this 21+ event. Just don’t leave your golden ticket at home!

Love at First Craft
It’s Valentine’s season in Oklahoma, which means chocolates, roses, and Braum’s An Affair of the Heart. No, it’s not a burger soap opera (though how fun would that be?)—it’s a beloved arts and crafts tradition, held five times a year in OKC and Tulsa. At the State Fair Park, find handmade jewelry, quirky T-shirts, gourmet treats, antiques, and custom pet sweaters (because Fido deserves a Valentine too). With hundreds of artists, crafters, and boutiques, it’s a DIY lover’s paradise. Tickets cover all three days, and ATMs are on-site for last-minute splurges, so grab your friends . . . and maybe a big tote bag too.

Cruise in, Jam out
Talk about a well-rounded experience! There’s nothing more iconic or more Oklahoma than catching a show at the Arcadia Round Barn. Once a month, the Round Barn Rendezvous fills this legendary Route 66 stop with the warm, twangy talents of local acoustic artists. Head up to the hayloft stage on the second floor for a free concert featuring the best in country, bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Cozy up with hot drinks and cookies, and maybe even join a jam session (no toast required). Mark your calendar for every second Sunday, and take a scenic drive down Route 66 for an afternoon of music, nostalgia, and Oklahoma charm.
