The Big Band Theory
Are you "In the Mood"? Say "Adios" to boredom and put on "A String of Pearls" for a night of great music when the Chisholm Trail Arts Council presents The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra at The Simmons Center in Duncan. Experience the big band sound as intended by the master of the form as his band carries on the tradition. February 9. Tickets, $10-$20. chisholmtrailarts.com
Jazz Well Before June
It's hard to imagine doing something for 53 years in a row. Or, if we're talking about going to the gym to exercise, it's hard to imagine doing something for 53 minutes in a row. So let's give big props to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford which holds the 53rd annual SWOSU Jazz Festival this week. Bebop and scat along with the Tia Fuller Duo, featuring Shamie Royston, sit in on a masterclass, and enjoy an all-day big band competition. February 9-10. Tickets, $5-$20. swosujazz.weebly.com

Mix and Match
Johnny Lee knew about looking for love in all the wrong places, but for those who have already found love and just want to take part in a cool love-themed scavenger hunt, the V-Day Bash at Oklahoma City's Mix-Tape at Factory Obscura is the place to be. With bands performing on the Wonder stage and a bevy of romantic gifts are available in the gift shop, this immersive art museum is the perfect place to inject a splash of whimsy into the usual Valentine's Day plans. February 11. Tickets, $22. factoryobscura.com
Super Tunnel Bros.
Feeling down? So is the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, which is taking its popular Second Saturday Architecture Tour underground for a tour of the tunnels connecting hotels, businesses, parking garages, and more in downtown Tulsa. Explore several historic buildings without ever stepping outside. Thankfully, nothing lifts spirits (or bodies) like an elevator ride bringing the tour back to the ground level. February 11. Tickets, $20-$25. tulsaarchitecture.org

Robbing and Running
Sometimes, at the end of a 20-mile trail run, nothing sounds better than four more 20-mile trail runs. If that sounds like your brand of crazy, head to Wilburton for the Outlaw 100 at Robbers Cave State Park. Choose from a 5K, half-marathon, marathon, 50-mile run, or the full Outlaw 100 course and make a getaway like Belle Starr, Jess James, and other famous scofflaws who gave Robbers Cave its name. February 11-13. Registration, $50-$320. trailultras.com
