Bear Of A Battle
Watch the hot Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball team take on undefeated Baylor this Wednesday in Norman. This will be highly ranked match up with both teams looking to get ahead in the Big 12 race. Coming off of a historic three-game winning streak against teams all ranked in the top ten, the Sooners are looking to knock off Baylor, especially after Oklahoma’s recent loss to Texas Tech. Not A Pontiac
The forces of good and evil clash in this epic tale about a puny, yet whimsical, bird and Prince Ivan on a quest to defeat a wicked sorcerer. Watch these three characters meet in The Firebird, a production by the Oklahoma City Ballet. Known for their engaging productions and a cast overflowing with talent, the show is sure to be awe inspiring. Pop A Wheelie
Get your adrenaline fix with some high-speed action involving dirt-spitting tires and tight turns at the Sooner Nationals this weekend. With several different events and races there will be something for everyone with food and drinks available throughout. Go to witness different age and skill groups battle on the track for glory while sitting comfortably in the stands. Tulsa is the place to be for all BMX enthusiasts this weekend! February 12-14. Everyone needs to unwind once in a while and there aren't many better ways to do that than with music, even if you're not technically a savage beast. Due to the pandemic, the fifty-first annual SWOSU Jazz Festival will be held online this year, but that just means you'll get to enjoy these talented musicians from the comfort of your couch. Taking place over two days, the festival will be headlined by Texas drummer Stockton Helbing, pianist Josh Hanlon, and bassist James Driscoll. Have an itch for Oklahoma history? If so, then Bass Reeves’ Beat: A Walking Tour with Jonita Mullins is the event for you. She will be guiding a group through Muskogee to learn about the history of famed lawman Bass Reeves. He was one of the first African-American marshals and he left behind a lasting legacy. Along with being a highly accurate shooter, Reeves also had an impressive number of arrests. Get some exercise in while learning more about your home state. February 13. Tickets, $10.
