No Beans
Those who missed the most famous micro racer when he criss-crossed the globe a few weeks back will be pleased to hear that there’s still one gift left under the tree for fans of speed: The Chili Bowl Midget Nationals are returning to Tulsa for fifty-five laps of teeny-tiny adrenaline rushes. Look forward to seeing more than two hundred rigs vying for the lead over six days at Tulsa’s Expo Square. January 10-15. Tickets, $54-$337. chilibowl.com
Hello and Goodbye
How wild will Heather McMahan’s show at Rose State University in Midwest City get? At least enough that she’s warning this tour, her first, might also be the last. Which is why she’s named it The Farewell Tour. Get ready for a night of hilarity as the queen of Instagram comedy takes the stage at the Hudiburg Chevrolet Center. January 13. Tickets, $43-$101. okcciviccenter.evenue.net

Farmville
Nobody is saying home gardeners can’t attend the annual KNID Agrifest in Enid, but they should prepare for overkill, because the backyard tomato plot pales in comparison to the big farm fun at this massive agriculture celebration. Seminars and demonstrations will keep farming enthusiasts up-to-date on the latest information and techniques, while the rest of us browse the craft vendor booths and sign up for giveaways.January 14-15. Saddle Up
As much as we might love our older siblings, there’s a clear delineation in talent and ability when you play with them. That’s one of many reasons the Heart of Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association splits competitors into four age groups for kids 18-and-under at the HOYRA Youth Rodeo in Duncan. The fun all takes place at the Stephens County Fairgrounds where ropers and riders from across the state, and even a few from out of state, compete in barrel racing, goat-tying, and more. Put on your red shoes, but don’t expect to dance the blues at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center when the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra presents Folk Dances: London Symphony. This powerful evening of music is full of moving selections including Romanian Folk Dances by Béla Bartok and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Tuba Concerto and Symphony No. 2 “London” with Daniel Hege returning as principal guest conductor.
