Each week, Oklahoma Today staffers comb through their calendars to find a handful of great events happening across the state. Get out! See Oklahoma! And be sure to let us know what you find, either here or on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @oklahomatoday.

Revolutionary Tour

Experience iconic stage songs like “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Bring Him Home,” and “One Day More” this week as OKC Broadway brings the fan-favorite Les Mierables to Oklahoma City’s Civic Center Music Hall. Huffington Post hails producer Cameron Mackintosh’s version of the classic Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg musical as “Les Mis for the 21st Century.” There are eight total show times this week, so there are plenty of chances to bring some tickets home. January 16-21. Tickets, $36-$174. okcbroadway.com

Turnpike Excites

The country and Americana band originally from Tahlequah has come a long way since its days playing local honky tonks and bars. The Turnpike Troubadours will be rocking Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center for two consecutive nights this week, and they’re bringing their friends Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit along for the ride. Grab a seat at your preferred time and come sing along to “Good Lord Lorrie,” “Long Hot Summer Day,” and more. January 19-20. Tickets, $26-$216.00. paycomcenter.com

Shake’ It Up

When we say it’s time for a little Shakespeare, we’re not talking about snow globes. See good ole William’s classic comedy As You Like It at Enid’s Gaslight Theatre once it premieres this Saturday. The Gaslight Teens production takes viewers through young Rosalind’s journey through the woods, finding love and plenty of hijinks along the way. If you’re a wise person who “knows yourself to be a fool,” we’re confident you won’t be missing this one. January 20-21 and January 26-28. Tickets, $8-$18. gaslighttheatre.org

Trucks of Terror

No matter what the movies say, Godzilla and King Kong aren’t the only gigantic monsters engaged in combat these days. Catch 12,000-pound behemoths crushing cars this weekend at Stephens County Fairgrounds in Duncan for the Duncan Monster Truck Wars. Kids in attendance don’t just get to watch, they can join the action through the free Powerwheel Race that promises pint-sized motorized mayhem. January 20. Tickets, $5-$90. event.attendstar.com

Go Route

Who’s up for a game of catch? Ready? Go long! . . . Longer! . . . Longer! . . . Keep going! . . . Yep, longer still! . . . OK, don’t be mad we made you keep going for several miles without throwing it. We’re just trying to get you in shape for Fleet Feet Tulsa’s Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long running event coming up this weekend at River West Festival Park in Tulsa. Keep in mind that by short they mean five kilometers and by very long they mean fifty. That’s a lot farther than we can throw, but we know you can make it. January 20. Registration $45-$90. runsignup.com
