Park It
Locals love Hafer Park's beautiful trails, unique playgrounds, and the rock-climbing wall overlooking a bustling duck pond, but there's even more to love this summer. Each Thursday, Hafer Park hosts Concerts in the Park with varying genres and styles. One night may bring a little indie while the next week you could see some bluegrass, and there will be refreshing snow cones for when Oklahoma's summers get into full swing. This week's artists include Sentimental Social Club, known for its bluesy soft rock style. May 20-August 12. Admission, Free. (405) 348-8830 or edmondok.com

Understanding Through Art
Books and TV shows often give us the facts about history, but sometimes understanding comes from feeling what it was like to be there. 1921 Black Wall Street: An Artistic Reflection is a chance to learn about the history of Tulsa's Black Wall Street, from its beginnings to its destruction and rebirth through dance, spoken word, and visual arts. May 21. Registration, Free. (918) 596-1020 or eventbrite.com
