Ghost Story
It turns out Humbugs is not just the name of my college a cappella group, it’s also part of the famous catchphrase of one Ebenezer Scrooge. For a rendition of this timeless holiday parable that guests won’t soon forget, check out the Miami Little Theatre production of A Christmas Carol at the Coleman Theatre in Miami. Come see the most elaborate possible sales pitch for one man to buy the big goose hanging in the shop window. November 30-December 3. Tickets, $15-$20. miamilittletheatre.com
Step Sampler
The Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series continues at the University of Science and Arts Oklahoma’s Te Ata Auditorium in Chickasha with a performance from the American Midwest Ballet. The traveling ballet group will present Momentum, a series of short, quick-hitting ballets from several choreographers, including Erin Alarcón, Monique Haley, Gerald Arpino, and more. November 30. Tickets, $20-$60. usao.edu

Holiday Tunes
For those who like their Blue Christmas with a little red dirt, Calf Fry Christmas at Stillwater’s Tumbleweed Dancehall & Concert Venue is as much a part of the annual tradition as putting up the tree. Bring your RV and make a weekend of it or just drop in for a night of this two-day music spectacular. This year brings musical acts like Treaty Oak Revival, The Damn Quails, Tanner Usrey, Triston Marez, and many more. December 1-2. Tickets, $35-$540. calffry.com
Honey in Bunches
Looking for something to get your honey this Christmas? Don’t overthink it; local honey is a gift all can appreciate and as always the Minco Honey Festival has sweetooths covered. While in Minco, tour Oklahoma’s largest honey processing plant, the Ross Honey Plant. After that, stick around for a honey bakeoff, a tractor pull, and crafts and activities for the kids. The stars will be out at the festival, as guest appearances from Santa Claus and local media personality Lucas Ross are expected. December 2. Admission, free. minco-ok.com
Those looking for local gifts this holiday season would be wise to head over to the Minco Honey Festival.
Gift Slingers
Ho-ho-howdy, partners! This town ain’t big enough for two kids to pose with Santa in the same photo, so please one at a time when posing with Saint Nick during the Cowboy Christmas Parade at the Stockyards District in Oklahoma City. While out at the parade, sample stew from the chuck wagon, listen to carolers and hop into a horse-drawn carriage. Giddy up and get on out to see them. December 2. Admission, free. stockyardscity.org
