Each week, Oklahoma Today staffers comb through their calendars to find a handful of great events happening across the state. Get out! See Oklahoma! And be sure to let us know what you find, either here or on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @oklahomatoday.

Sweet Stroll

Make like the gingerbread man and run to Mustang for the Mistletoe Magic Cookie Crawl. A passport will guide visitors to a variety of local Mustang businesses where they can get a stamp and a cookie while perusing a panoply of perfect presents. Not only will guests leave with a Cookie Carrier full of treats, but they can turn them in at the December 5 tree-lighting ceremony at Mustang Town Center for a chance to win prizes from local merchants. December 1-5. Tickets, $10. mustangchamber.com/mistletoe-magic

Bee Happy

When a bee stings, it's unpleasant for the sting-ee, but deadly for the sting-er, who leaves about half their body behind in the exchange. What could be worth such a terrible fate? Find out what all the buzz is about during the thirty-second annual Minco Honey Festival. Take a tour of the Ross Honey Plant to see where the sweet syrup meets the bottle, taste honey-sweetened desserts, and watch those sugar-powered kids take part in a tractor pull. December 3. Admission, free. minco-ok.com

Jingle Bell Rock

Stroud would have a blue, blue, blue, blue, blue Christmas without you, so don't miss the Elvis Christmas Parade as it rolls down Main Street. Don't miss the contest for best Elvis impersonator while keeping warm with a hunka-hunka burning love for the holidays. December 3. Admission, free. facebook.com/stroudokchamber

Tinsel Tea

Oklahoma history is inextricably linked to the oil business and there are few places where that is truer than in Glenpool. During the BlackGold Christmas festivities, the city will start by decorating a number of Christmas trees, followed by a parade, caroling, and the traditional photos with Santa Claus himself. Make it a memorable outing with a ride in a horse-drawn carriage before watching the lighting of the mayor's Christmas tree. December 4. Admission, free. facebook.com/blackgoldchristmasglenpool
