Water Me
As if the usual feats of derring do weren’t enough, Italian-based performance company Cirque Italia is stepping up the danger and the wonder with it’s Water Circus when the troupe comes to the McAlester Expo Center for seven shows in four days. Prepare to see some death-defying acrobatics—there’s literally an apparatus called the Wheel of Death—with the added danger of slipping and falling on the massive traveling stage that holds 35,000 gallons of water. November 11-14. Tickets, $10-$50. gold.cirqueitalia.com
Mountain Man Up
The world of today is busy and fast-paced. With work, families, and various streaming services, it’s hard to keep up with friends, relatives, or even our favorite water features. Is it too late to call that river you knew in college? Can you still connect with that lagoon you met on vacation? Well, you can at least catch up with Dripping Springs in Okmulgee during the Dripping Springs Rendezvous. And if rekindling the bond of friendship with the springs fizzles, there are lots of things to do to distract from the heartache, like watching fur trapping reenactors, learning about Dutch oven cooking, seeing a black powder shooting demonstration, and more. November 12 & 13. Admission, Free-$2. facebook.com/drippingspringsmountainmanrendezvous

Extremely Cool
Why be extra when you can be extreme? The first #BXTRM Fall Festival at the Comanche County Fairgrounds promises to bring the Lawton and Fort Sill communities together for positive and productive change with a variety of musical acts, motivational keynote speakers, shopping, food, and more. There’s even a public health component, urging guests for more physical and mental fitness. November 13. Tickets, $5.13-$8.20. bxtrmfestival.com
Bright Idea
It used to be that shopping on Black Friday was how to beat all the other shoppers to the punch, but now gift-givers can get an even bigger jump at the All is Bright Christmas Market in Grove. Vendors will be onsite with one-of-a-kind items for sale and crafters can take part in classes throughout the day to make even more exclusive presents for friends and family. November 13. Admission, Free. (918) 791-1849 or facebook.com

The Way of the Ninja
Twenty-two armed forces veterans will put their agility and skills to the test at the Vets Alive! competition at Urban Air Ardmore. Using Urban Air’s Ninja Challenge course, these vets are looking to have fun and raise awareness of the epidemic of suicides in the veteran community—an average of twenty-two die each day—while raising money for the Changing Course Foundation and Beyond Brotherhood. November 13. Admission, $10-$15. ccfdn.net
