Rumor(s) Has It
In the mood for dinner and a show? Head to Enid’s Gaslight Theatre for the premiere of its 2020-21 season with Rumors, a farcical Broadway show by Neil Simon that tells a tale of mystery and miscommunication. The show includes adult content and language. All staff, volunteers, and patrons are required to wear a mask in the lobby, bathrooms, auditorium, and box office areas. Homey Tunes
Fans of Norman’s annual Jazz in June festival may not be able to gather in public to listen to their favorite jazz and blues musicians, but can still enjoy the festival from home through a live stream. The virtual festival will feature Dirty Red & The Soul Shakers, OKC Jazz Orchestra, and Shaun Martin and will be broadcast on KGOU, and the festival’s YouTube and Facebook accounts, beginning at 6 p.m. September 19. Handcrafted Goodies
If you’re in the market for handmade crafts, Shawnee’s bi-monthly Trading Post and Flea Market is the place for you. The market offers more than seventy vendors and food trucks from across the state, selling items from seasonal decor to baked goods. Saddle Up
Beginners and novice cyclers alike can enjoy a countryside bike ride as part of Coweta’s Tour de Cowtown race. Riders can choose between a 20-mile, 40-mile, 62-mile, or 100-mile route starting at 8 a.m., followed by a gathering with food, beverages, and fellowship. Riders who cross the finish line will receive a cow bell medal, and the first person from the 100-mile route to finish will have their name engraved on a Cowtown Cup. September 19. Admission, $40. Lakeside Art
Eufaula’s annual Lake Eufaula Art Festival will take a different form this year—instead of a traditional walk-around festival in downtown Eufaula, the festival will be in the form of a contemporary art show and competition for area artists. The show will be displayed at Eufaula Main Street Studio where patrons can browse and purchase works by local artists. September 19-October 20. Admission, Free. (918) 689-2791 or eufaulaareaarts.org
