While the impact of his life was felt around the globe, nowhere is Will Rogers more beloved than in Oklahoma. This week, 87 years ago, two of our state's most famous folks died in the same plane crash. Rogers—movie star, comedian, commentator, and a deft hand with a rope—was riding with one-eyed barnstormer Wiley Post when bad weather forced the pair to land in a lagoon. When they took off again, something when awry and the plane crashed upside down in the shallow water, killing both men instantly.

Where did the Will Rogers and Wiley Post crash take place?
