Maybe it’s odd to name a town after someone who came from Arkansas and was on his way to Texas, but this Chickasaw Country community in southern Oklahoma knows the value of people who are so struck by our state that they decide to stick around. His work with Native Americans yielded a massive corn crop, which inspired others to settle nearby and create a town. Corn is no longer this Love County town’s calling card, however. If anything, it’s the variety of famous visitors who come through the town’s biggest business—often for “one night only”—including comedians like Jim Gaffigan and Patton Oswalt and musicians including Sting and Pitbull, among countless others.

What’s the name of this Chickasaw Country town?
