Interest in the Oklahoma City skyline began to spike in 2009 as the Devon Energy Center, destined to be the tallest building in Oklahoma, began construction. It was the beginning of the end of the reign for Tulsa, which previously had the state's tallest building—the BOK Tower.

The Devon Tower, at 850 feet, is now prominently featured on postcards, T-shirts, and even an award-winning travel magazine's cover, on occasion, and has become a symbol of the city for more than a decade.

How long was the BOK Tower the tallest building in Oklahoma?
