Starting off selling newspapers at a train station, Reynolds went on to amass a media empire made up of more than a hundred newspapers, TV and radio stations, cable companies, and even billboard companies. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame in 1978. He used his fortune to benefit communities across the country, including plenty of gifts in Oklahoma.
