With the Major League Baseball World Series in full swing, we thought it might be fun to take a look back at some Okies who made it to the show. The very first Major Leaguer from the Sooner State was Adair Bushyhead "Paddy" Mayes, born in Locust Grove, who played right field for the Philadelphia Phillies. It was a short stint in the majors, however. Very short.
