The world of politics is often rough and tumble and it's as true in Oklahoma as it is anywhere else. Of the first five governors of the Sooner State, four of them were threatened with impeachment and the last of those was actually removed from office. The state's fifth governor was John "Jack" Calloway Walton, an Indiana native who served in the Army before moving to Oklahoma and becoming mayor of Oklahoma City. Governor Walton made a fair few enemies during his tenure—turning his back on the voters who put him in office and also feuding with the Ku Klux Klan—which led to twenty-two charges and his removal from office. He is the shortest-serving governor in the state's history.
How many days was John Walton the governor of Oklahoma?
