Our state is often considered part of the wild frontier, but Oklahoma has been at the forefront of plenty of movements. So it should come as little surprise that the Sooner State was the place where the very first Boy Scout troop was founded way back in 1909—a full eight months before the Boy Scouts of America became an organization. Made up of nineteen young men, between the ages of 11 and 17, this historic troop helped pave the way for the international organization we know today.

In what Oklahoma city was the first Boy Scout troop founded?
